Perhaps we've met in the backcountry or we share the passion for amazing landscapes.  Either way, I'm glad you're here and please feel free to spend as much time as you like.

I've spent many a day exploring the backcountry here North Carolina mountains.  From my many years at Mast General Store in the outdoor industry, all the way to the present day.  In all about 35 years.  There's not a local trail I haven't been on, talked about or at least researched.  These days, I photograph a lot solo, and a good bit serving as a backcountry photography guide.  Both have afforded me the opportunity to photograph these locations in amazing conditions.  Whether you like the location itself, the fleeting light or dramatic landscapes, you will find them here.  There are many others that aren't shown here, so if you're looking for something specific, let me know and I'll put a gallery together just for you.
